Veronica Young Dresses To Impress For Walking Home For Christmas

By Walking With The Wounded on

Local Moray resident Veronica, who has breast cancer, is getting into the Christmas spirit this year by dressing up as an elf to raise money for Walking With The Wounded’s (‘WWTW’), Walking Home For Christmas campaign. Veronica is undergoing six chemotherapy treatments and will be dressing up for each treatment to raise money for six different charities, including WWTW.

Veronica works for WWTW as a Digital Care Coordinator in Scotland. She is working to identify and support hard to reach veterans in the Scottish Highlands and Islands. She said, “I am proud to be part of the Walking With The Wounded Team. The Charity does an incredible job supporting veterans and their families. Chemotherapy is a gruelling process. I want to turn my cancer treatment into something fun and positive, so I decided to use my six chemotherapy treatments to raise money for different charities. I will be dressing up as an Elf and raising money to support WWTW’s Christmas campaign, Walking Home For Christmas.”
