13 Company South West London Army Cadet Force taking on London Bridges Challenge

On December 10th, Army Cadets and Instructors from 13 Company South West London will embark on a 14-mile walk from Chiswick Bridge to Westminster Bridge, dedicated to raising funds for those who have served.
Along their journey, they will rendezvous with another Cadet Force, trekking from Chelsea Bridge to Westminster Bridge. The aim of this walk is to garner support for Walking Home For Christmas and extend a warm welcome to junior Cadets who have recently joined the Army Cadet Force.
Joe Cox, Detachment Commander of the 13 Company South West London Army Cadet Force, commented, “For several years, the Army Cadets of 13 Company South West London have actively participated in Walking Home For Christmas—an eagerly anticipated occasion that unites our cadets for a good cause. Once more, we are donning our Christmas hats and embarking on a 14-mile journey from Chiswick Bridge to Westminster Bridge. Our aim is not only to extend a warm welcome to our junior Army Cadets but also to show our support for those who have served.”

From London to Dumfries, the care staff Walking Home For Christmas

Workers from the UK’s largest online care platform Curam put their best feet forward on December 11, raising vital funds for veterans’ charity Walking With The Wounded as part of its Walking Home For Christmas campaign.
The national sponsored event, which is now in its 10th year, involved teams from the care company’s London and Dumfries offices, who collectively clocked up a total of 50 miles as one of 154 teams taking part.
Staff in east London carried out individual walks, including Curam co-founder Patrick Wallace, who walked from the company’s office in Ashwin Street, Dalston, to Hammersmith. And the Scottish team, headed by Curam director Ben Weatherall, clocked up 12 miles with their countryside walk in Irongray, Dumfries.
