Cygnet Health has been a fabulous supporter of Walking Home For The Christmas in the past and after a years' break, Operations Director Barry Swire and CEO Tony Romero are back for more in 2021! Coordinating walks across the UK, Cygnet was also famous in 2019 for their walk from London down to Portsmouth. This year they're tying in Walking With The Wounded directly, with Barry and Tony going from our office in Manchester to their site in Bury and are keeping their fingers and toes crossed for good weather! This December, teams from different branches of the company will be participating in various walks nationwide. From London to Dumfries, the care staff Walking Home For Christmas

Workers from the UK’s largest online care platform Curam put their best feet forward on December 11, raising vital funds for veterans’ charity Walking With The Wounded as part of its Walking Home For Christmas campaign.

The national sponsored event, which is now in its 10th year, involved teams from the care company’s London and Dumfries offices, who collectively clocked up a total of 50 miles as one of 154 teams taking part.

Staff in east London carried out individual walks, including Curam co-founder Patrick Wallace, who walked from the company’s office in Ashwin Street, Dalston, to Hammersmith. And the Scottish team, headed by Curam director Ben Weatherall, clocked up 12 miles with their countryside walk in Irongray, Dumfries.

Sale Sharks, Sharks Forces Are Walking Home For Christmas

Shark Forces work with over 100 veterans annually, running coffee mornings, welfare walks, art therapy workshops, physical activity sessions and online webinars to help with life after service and this December they are also taking on their own Walking Home For Christmas challenge.

Next week, Shark Forces very own, Eddie Owen & Merrall Stanworth will be walking 13.5 miles, visiting the war memorials across Eccles, Stretford, Sale & Urmston in a bid to raise vital awareness & funds for our Walking Home For Christmas campaign and ultimately our Armed Forces Community.

Having already raised over 300, the team couldn't be doing better at drumming up the local support.
